sought-after incenses. It will appeal to you if you are looking for a
distinctive expression and a dynamic, protective, warming, and
grounding character. It has its place in traditional rituals and modern incense
burning.
It will help you rid your space of heavy or stagnant energy
and promote strength, stability, and action. It is excellent when you need to
boost courage, decisiveness, and vitality. It will please
anyone looking for a more intense incense than frankincense: Dragon's Blood has
a strong aroma and long-lasting effect.
It is suitable for meditations and ceremonies, in yoga
studios, therapeutic or massage spaces, and wherever you need to clear
the air and enhance safety. You can use it on its own or in
incense blends, where it will amplify the effect of other incenses.
Our Dragon's Blood is 100% natural raw resin from the
Indonesian climbing plant Daemonorops draco. Unlike other types, it is
obtained from the surface of the fruits. This origin gives it a unique place
among incenses and other types of Dragon's Blood.
Warning: When handling, it leaves a distinct red pigment. We
therefore recommend careful handling, especially when in contact with textiles,
light surfaces, or hands.

- Accompanies rituals and spiritual practice
- Energetically tunes spaces
- Neutralises odours
Instructions for use – how to burn incense
On charcoal: Place a quick-lighting charcoal disc in a
fireproof dish with sand, light it, and add a piece of incense or a blend. This
method is most effective for quick energetic cleansing, but it produces
more smoke.
On a burner with a sieve: Using a special burner allows for
a gentler and longer-lasting incense burning. It is ideal for meditation or
smaller spaces. After burning, remove resin residues from the sieve with a brush
or in warm water.
In an electric censer: A portable electric censer offers a
convenient, clean, and modern way to burn incense without using charcoal,
producing dense smoke, or the risk of burning the blend. For more comfortable
and safer incense burning, try our electric censers Ritual
Mist or Dark
Temple.
Tips for burning incense
A cleaner scent profile can be achieved by using a mica
plate (a thin sheet of mica), which prevents a burnt tone and ensures a
gentler and longer-lasting aroma.
Large pieces of resin can be crushed into smaller pieces for faster release
of the scent.
Safety warnings
- Always use a non-flammable container, keep it out of reach of children
and pets.
- Do not leave burning unattended.
- Ensure ventilation.
- Do not inhale smoke at close range.
- People sensitive to smoke or pregnant individuals should burn incense
sparingly.
Dragon's Blood is always different
Under the name Dragon's Blood, there are actually various plant raw
materials originating from different parts of the world. They are
united by their distinctive red colour, which is reflected in their name.
Our incense resin comes from Daemonorops draco, a
climbing rattan palm from Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia and Malaysia. You
may also encounter the name Calamus Draco Willd., which refers to the
same plant.
From a layer on the surface of the fruits, which have a
distinctive red pigment, red resin is obtained. Harvesting is done manually, and
riper fruits, which tend to have a higher resin content, are selected.
Dragon's Blood from Daemonorops draco has a long history of
use. In Asia, it was valued for traditional purposes, rituals, and
magic, as well as an important trade commodity. It was exported to Europe, where
it found use in varnishes, pigments, dyes, and alchemy.
