Edible single-species black cumin oil with a characteristic aroma obtained by CO2 extraction. Black cumin (Nigella sativa) is an annual herb growing up to 60 cm tall, characterised by its striking blue flowers. Black cumin is typically used as a household spice. It has a strong pungent taste and is either a loved or hated spice. In the writings of Chinese, Tibetan and Ayurvedic medicine, Black Cumin has long been considered one of the most potent medicinal plants in the world. Modern scientists are now confirming this. The oil is also often referred to as the black gold of the pharaohs.

Its properties are complementary to holistic human care, acting as a balm for the stomach, intestines, teeth and skin. It is especially excellent in hair care. It can be added to hair masks, natural conditioners for very dry hair. Black cumin oil contains a large amount of fatty acids and other valuable substances. In particular, the omega 6 linoleic acid content is high at 55%. The oleic acid content is 23% and the palmitic acid content is 11%.
