Unique Persian rose
The Persian rose is a natural hybrid, which originated about
7,000 years ago on the borders of today’s Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and
Turkmenistan, from where it spread throughout the Persian Empire. The famous
tradition of producing rose oil, which has always played an important role in
medicine, perfumery and rituals, soon developed here.
Iranian rose essential oil is considered the most intense
and the most complex variant of rose oil. It differs from the
Bulgarian or Turkish rose oil by its deeper, richer and fruitier fragrance with
subtle spicy undertones. The unmistakable scent, for which it is extremely
valued in perfumery and aromatherapy, is due to the unique combination
of Iran’s climate and the soil of the Kashan region.
Rose once distilled
This essential oil was created by steam distillation of rose
blossoms. The designation “once distilled” means that only one distillation
cycle has taken place.
This process results in an essential oil containing a wide range of aromatic
components, including heavier and resinous compounds. This gives a rich,
intense, fuller and heavier aroma. Such oil is more often used for
therapeutic purposes.
Compared to it, double-distilled essential oil is more delicate and is also
used in perfume production.
The rarest essences
Rose essential oils are very rare, as a huge amount of raw
material is used to extract them: approximately 3–4 tons of rose petals are
needed for 1 kg of rose oil. That’s why it’s one of the most
expensive oils in the world.
For this reason too, we offer a more affordable variant of
rose essential oil in MCT oil. While the undiluted version is a
100% essential oil that must first be diluted in a carrier oil for application
to the skin, this version is already diluted and ready to apply directly to the
skin. However, it is not suitable for a diffuser.
For such purposes, the undiluted BEWIT Rose
of Damascus once distilled essential oil is suitable.
Use
Apply in circular motions to the neck, temples, nape of the neck or soles of
the feet, or inhale from the palms of the hands.
Caution in pregnancy
Although rose is considered a mother oil, handle it carefully during
pregnancy, especially when applying to skin.
