How to properly sprout mung bean seeds in a sprouting jar

Sprouting mung bean seeds in a sprouting jar is simple and anyone can do it. First, rinse the seeds thoroughly several times with cold water. Then, pour them into a sprouting jar, cover with water, and leave horizontally for 24 hours.

After this time, drain the water through the lid, rinse the seeds again, and turn the jar upside down or place it at an angle so that excess water can drain freely. During sprouting, rinse the seeds twice a day. Always let them drain well. They should remain moist, but never stand in water.

Store the jar at room temperature, around 18 to 20 °C, away from direct sunlight. In 4 to 5 days, the mung bean sprouts will be ready for consumption. Store the finished sprouts in the fridge and consume ideally within 3 days.
