History
Jovis glans
Highly nutritious walnuts were a familiar delicacy to the ancient Romans, who
loved to add them to their traditional dishes. They called them Jovis
glans, after the god Jupiter, to whom they dedicated the
walnut tree.
With the passage of time, a honey-golden oil began to be pressed from these
nuts, which, thanks to its easy absorption and high content of valuable
antioxidants, it was also used in the cosmetics industry.
