Do you enjoy cosmetics making and are you looking for a plant-based alternative to beeswax for vegan products?
Try rice bran wax, a popular ingredient in natural vegan cosmetics. It has a light texture, which makes it an ideal raw material for making creams, lip balms and decorative cosmetics. It serves as a thickener and softener and adds a nice suppleness and richness to your products.
Thanks to its lightness, it does not weigh down the skin and is suitable for various skin types. It naturally softens and hydrates skin and helps to maintain an optimal moisture level. It contains vitamins and minerals that protect the skin from harmful environmental influences. It can form a fine protective layer on the surface of the skin, e.g. as part of a lip balm.
It's a common ingredient in conditioners because it helps seal the surface of the hair, providing shine and smooth finish to your curls.
It will elevate your homemade products aesthetically as well, giving them a natural shine and smoothness.

How are rice wax pellets made
Rice wax is obtained through extraction from rice bran, which is a byproduct of processing rice (Oryza sativa). The bran is pressed under high pressure, then cleaned and filtered to remove impurities, getting a pure wax mass. This is then formed into small pellets for easy use.
Rice wax has been traditionally used in Asian cultures, not only in cosmetics, but also as a natural wax for making candles and protective waxes for furniture. Thanks to its versatility, it has become a popular ingredient in modern natural cosmetics.
