Different types of myrrh
Different types of myrrh have similar effects, but differ in details and
smell. Myrrh kataf has a unique and specific aroma and is the sweetest of all
myrrhs.
Support for female energy
Myrrh is traditionally considered to represent feminine energy and has been
used in rituals associated with femininity and also at night, while masculine
energy is represented by incense which is suitable during the day.
Caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of myrrh is not advisable during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Note
Due to the terpenoid content and other naturally occurring substances,
essential oils extracted from the resin dry out easily when exposed to oxygen
for long periods of time. A consequence and natural characteristic of the
product is a resinous coating that forms near the dropper and the neck of the
essential oil bench.
If you want to prevent the formation of a resinous coating, after each use of
essential oil, clean the dropper and its surrounding area thoroughly with a dry
and clean tissue. Then close the bottle tightly and store in a dark and
dry place.
