BEWIT Myrrh Confusa
Also known as: Myrrh Confusa, Kenyan Frankincense
Like other myrrh essential oils, this precious species is valued for its
beneficial effects on the skin, especially mature
skin. It will give it softness, suppleness and overall refreshment, and
will also help to fill in fine lines. It supports the renewal
and regeneration of superficial imperfections and irritations.
It is also a suitable ingredient for mouthwashes, toothpastes or gargles for
oral hygiene, in soaps and cleaning products. As a
component of perfumes, it fixes scents and enhances a heavier
oriental-floral character.
It may be useful if you need to soothe your respiratory
tract, strengthen your digestive system and appetite,
harmonise the feminine aspect of your body, or generally gain
better resilience.
Myrrh is also an ancient aid in spiritual rituals and
meditations. It facilitates relaxation, calms
tension and nervousness, so it comes in handy when you are struggling with
stress and emotional exhaustion.
It creates a pleasant combination with essential oils BEWIT Frankincense
Carterii, BEWIT
Sandalwood, BEWIT
Geranium, BEWIT Cypress
or BEWIT Red
Mandarin.

Different types of myrrh
Different types of myrrh have similar effects but differ in details and
aroma. Myrrh confusa, sometimes referred to as Kenyan frankincense, is
characterised by a deep and warm, sweetly herbaceous, resinous scent, with
earthy and balsamic notes, which is more reminiscent of frankincense
than myrrh.
The confusion is also caused by the myrrh tree Commiphora confusa
itself, as this species is not easy to identify. It has different flowers on
individual plants, as well as different colours and types of resin.
Support for feminine energy
Myrrh is traditionally considered an expression of feminine energy and has
been used since ancient times in rituals associated with femininity and also at
night, while frankincense represents masculine energy and is suitable during
the day.
Caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of myrrh is not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Warning
Due to the content of terpenoids and other naturally occurring substances,
essential oils obtained from resin dry out easily with prolonged contact with
oxygen. A consequence and natural property of the product is the resinous
coating that forms near the dropper and the neck of the essential oil
bottle.
To prevent the formation of a resinous coating, thoroughly clean the dropper
and its surroundings with a dry and clean tissue after each use of the essential
oil. Then close the bottle tightly and store it in a dark and dry place.
