Hyssop, a plant native to southern Europe and temperate regions of Asia, has been appreciated by the Hebrews. The Romans used it to disinfect houses where disease had entered. The herb was a common feature of medieval monastic gardens.
Like thyme, hyssop essential oil is very hot and invigorating in nature and should therefore be used in moderation.
On a mental level, hyssop essential oil nourishes the mind and promotes concentration, helping with short-term mental exhaustion. Its aroma will support you when you need to „face the world“. On the other hand, with its help you can strengthen personal boundaries.
You will appreciate hyssop oil if you are easily swayed by the moods and emotions of others and tend to absorb any tension from your environment. Its spiritual and purifying influence will enhance your meditation and creativity.

Caution: Do not use during pregnancy, whilst breastfeeding or for children under two years of age. Not suitable for epileptics and persons with fever. A solution with a concentration of up to 2% is safe.
