Because of its grounding scent, spikenard essential oil is perfect for ritual and meditation purposes as well as relaxing massages. On an emotional and energetic level, it helps to stabilise turbulent emotions and calm a troubled mind, so it is also welcome in times of inner transformation.
It provides excellent care for oily and problematic skin.
100% PURE NARCISSUS ROOT ESSENTIAL OIL
The true spikenard (Nardostachys jatamansi) is a plant with pink flowers native to Asia. The resulting essential oil is extracted from its flowers by a gentle process, steam distillation.
DID YOU KNOW THAT?
Spikenard is similar in its effects and scent to the fenugreek, which is classified in the same family. Due to over-harvesting, Nepal has restricted the export of unprocessed spikenard and itsavailability is therefore limited.
CONCLUSIONS
Spikenard essential oil is a natural cocktail of hundreds of biologically active substances. However, a substance called Patchouli alcohol is considered pivotal.

A GLIMPSE INTO HISTORY
The Biblical Essence
For centuries, spikenard has been considered one of the most valuable oils and to this day has great religious significance. As such, it is one of the first fragrances used by the ancient Egyptians to embalm mummies.
