Coffee – one of the most popular beverages
Coffee beans are the seeds of the coffee tree, which
originated in the area of present-day Ethiopia. It is currently widespread
throughout the tropical belt.
Two types are most commonly used for coffee production: Arabica
coffee (Coffea arabica), from which Arabica coffee comes, and
Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora or Coffea
robusta), from which Robusta coffee is obtained.
According to surveys, coffee is the second most consumed beverage in the
world, after water.
How decaffeinated coffee is made
Decaffeinated coffee is made by gently removing most of the caffeine from
green, unroasted coffee beans. Most commonly, this is done using water, carbon
dioxide, or natural solvents that strip the beans of caffeine but preserve their
flavour profile and typical aroma. Only then is the coffee roasted, ground, and,
in the case of instant coffee, further processed.
How freeze-dried instant coffee is made
Instant coffee is produced by various methods. Lyophilisation, or
freeze-drying, is one of the gentlest. Strong coffee extract is
poured onto chilled metal plates, rapidly frozen, then crushed and dried to
remove residual water. This way, the coffee retains a richer taste and
aroma than instant coffees produced by other technologies.
How to use
Pour approximately 1 to 2 teaspoons of powder (approx. 2–4 g) into
200 ml of boiling water, let it stand for a few minutes, then drink.
If you prefer sweet coffee, add Coconut Sugar,
Organic or Coconut Syrup,
Organic. For creaminess, add Coconut
Cream Milk – Powder, Organic
