Coriander versus cilantro
In English articles on the use of coriander as an herb and essential oil, you may notice a difference between the terms „coriander“ and „cilantro“. The first refers to the seeds, the second refers to the leaves of the same plant. The essential oils from the leaves and seeds have similar effects, but slightly differ in scent. The oil from the leaves is more like the citrus aroma of the herb itself, the oil from the seeds is sweeter and more spicy.
