BEWIT Thyme linalool

Also known as: Common Thyme

It belongs to food that is typically scented and flavored, especially if you enjoy the famous cuisine of France and the Mediterranean. Thyme was also used in the kitchen by our grandmothers.

Taken internally, it can balance digestion and soothe bloating.

In general, thyme relieves strained muscles after strenuous sports. It can help with seasonal ailments, such as a sore throat, stuffy nose and sinuses or cough.

It is useful for face and body skin in case of acne, bruising, irritation, redness, stinging and other similar discomforts. Unlike other thyme chemotypes, thyme linalool is not irritating when used on the skin.

It scents and purifies the air in the room and repels insects including lice or fleas. It can also uplift your mind and support self-confidence. It can balance emotions and help to release emotional blocks.

In the kitchen, try combining BEWIT Thyme Linalool with BEWIT Savory, BEWIT Oregano or BEWIT Marjoram.

Multiple chemotypes of thyme

There are several chemotypes of thyme essential oil, which, in addition to the aroma, differ slightly in their effects.

Thyme oil, with its predominant chemotype component thymol, is considered the strongest and most intense. However, it can be irritating to the skin, so it must be used with great caution, following the recommended dosage. The chemotype borneol is rated as finer in comparison, due to its lower thymol content. The linaloolchemotype is the gentlest of these and can be used by children and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
