Pimento tree (Pimenta racemosa) is a tropical evergreen tree with aromatic ovate leaves and white flowers. The resulting essential oil is extracted from its flowers by a gentle process, steam distillation.
Native to the Virgin Islands, Bay St. Thomas essential oil is often confused with Laurel Bay essential oil, which is derived from the leaves of the laurel tree.
Bay St.Thomas essential oil is a natural cocktail of hundreds of biologically active substances. However, substances called Eugenol and β-myrcene are considered pivotal.
Bay St. Thomas essential oil is reputed for its beneficial effects on the scalp. It is a reliable fighter against dandruff and excessive hair loss. Combined with its fresh balmy aroma and astringent effects, it is also a great choice for after shaving.

The leaves of the pimento tree were used by the Arawak Indians and later in the 17th century by European sailors and their slave crews,who used the crushed leaves as a deodorant during long voyages. The leaves were also used to create the famous Bay Rum aftershave, which was very popular in the USA during the 1950s.

Our products (roll-ons, essential oil blends, single oils) are made exclusively from 100% natural essential oils. Since the quality and chemical composition of these natural raw materials depend on many variables such as the plant’s origin, the season, the climate conditions at harvest, and the processing time – it is only natural that no batch of a single essential oil will ever be 100% identical to the previous one. This inevitable natural variability means that even our final essential oil blend may vary slightly in its aromatic notes or intensity. These subtle nuances are, however, proof of the product’s authenticity and natural composition, not a sign of reduced quality. We always follow a precise recipe and use the highest quality ingredients. The quality of CTEO® allows for all common aromatherapy applications. However, it is always necessary to respect the principles of safe use and not to exceed the recommended dosage of essential oils. A sensitivity test is recommended before application to the skin. (Try a small amount of essential oil diluted according to the carrier oil formula on the wrist. This is how you find out if the mixture suits you.) Children are extremely sensitive to the effects of essential oils, so it is essential to always consult a specialist and take special care when using them. Sensitive and chronically ill individuals, pregnant and nursing women should also always consult a certified aromatherapist or physician when using a blend. Anyone with persistent feelings of discomfort should do the same. Great caution is also required if animals are in the vicinity during your inhalation. They need to be given time to leave the room.

Tento olejíček mám velice ráda, proto mne mrzí, že v současné době není dostupný. Už mi dochází. Moje zkušenost s ním je následující. 1) na fyzické rovině působí dezinfekčně. 2) v duchovní rovině chrání, ale krátkou dobu, jen asi trojnásobek doby působení vůně. A jen taková drobnost na okraj, plody tohoto keře se používají v kuchyni pod označením nové koření.
