Traditionally, angelica is seen as a life awakener.
It has a slightly earthy, sweet and musky aroma. On a psychological level, it helps to release repressed emotions. Women often find its scent useful before, during and after menstruation.
Angelica essential oil contains about sixty ingredients, one of the most important of which is the terpene phellandrene. It was cultivated in monastery gardens by monks in ancient times, who used it as a support during periods of plague. It was called „holy spirit root“ or „angel root“.
