Method of use

Always shake the spray thoroughly before use. Apply directly to the skin ideally before insect exposure. After spraying, gently spread the product onto the skin.

For longer stays outdoors, reapply every 2–3 hours or as needed. Avoid contact with the eye area.

Tip: For people with sensitive skin or young children, we recommend a tolerance test before first use: Apply a small amount of the product to a suitable area, e.g. the inner side of the wrist. Leave on uncovered for 10–15 minutes and observe the application area. If there is no reaction, such as redness, burning, itching, swelling, warmth or stinging, you can safely use the product. If any reaction occurs, do not use the product.

How do the active ingredients in BEWIT Insect Stop work?

Eugenol (31.7%) has a strong neurotoxic and larvicidal effect, it is active against mosquitoes, flies and cockroaches. Study: Nature 2022, ScienceDirect 2023.

Menthol (12.0%) has a repellent and sensory disturbing effect, causing insect confusion. Acts against mosquitoes, mites and ants. Study: ThaiScience, ScienceDirect.

β-Caryophyllene (8.9%) has repellent effect, insect behavior changes, limit their reproduction. Acts against aphids, mosquitoes and caterpillars. Study: ScienceDirect, MDPI.

Citronellal (5.3%) is a natural repellent comparable to DEET – the active ingredient used in insect repellents (mosquitoes, ticks). It interferes with orientation and reduces the ability to suck. Citronellal derivatives achieved 95% efficacy after 3.5 hours. Study: Wiley, JME.

How do the active ingredients in BEWIT Citronella work?

Citronellal is a powerful repellent, it acts on the olfactory receptors of mosquitoes, disrupting orientation. Study: Trongtokit et al., 2005 – J Med Entomol – comparison of repellent efficacy of the main components.

Citronellol is toxic to mosquito larvae, with repellent effects. Study: Kumar et al., 2011 – Parasitol Res – larvicidal effects of citronellol.
