It's indispensable in Asian dishes, but fits anywhere you want to let the yellow color stand out. It is a key ingredient in curry spices, giving them their typical hue and subtle bitter-spicy flavour.
To support digestion add pinch of turmeric is added to rice, legumes, soups or sauces. Golden milk or tea with turmeric is also popular. It is recommended to combine with black pepper or coconut oil, which improve the absorption of curcumin.
At first sight, it lifts the mood, and when consumed, it energises both body and spirit. Modern science is studying the antioxidant effects of turmeric and its potential in supporting immunity, normal joint function, digestion, and metabolism.
