What is an emulsifier

An emulsifier is a substance that helps combine water and oils, which is ideal for making creams and other cosmetic products.

Recommended use

It is used as a plant-based oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier in cosmetic creams and body milks. It gives the resulting products excellent stability, a smooth texture, and moisturising properties without a greasy feel.

Creative tip – nourishing facial cream

Slowly heat 7g of Organic Jojoba Oil in a bain-marie with 1g of glyceryl stearate citrate to approximately 70°C until the emulsifier is completely dissolved. In a second container, heat 22g of Organic Damask Rose Hydrolate to a similar temperature. Then, slowly pour the hydrolate into the oil while stirring constantly.

Stir during cooling until a light cream forms. You can thoroughly mix 2 drops of the Gold Beauty essential blend into the lukewarm cream. Transfer to a clean jar and let it set in a cool place overnight. Store in the fridge and prepare only small amounts for quick consumption.
