YOUNG BARLEY JUICE POWDER
Due to its high content of vital enzymes, vitamins, minerals, amino acids,
and many other highly beneficial substances, young barley juice powder is an
exceptional superfood. Thanks to a patented production process involving
juicing, it is fully soluble in water. Both organic and raw quality are
guaranteed.
YOUNG BARLEY POWDER vs. YOUNG BARLEY JUICE POWDER (JUICE)
Both forms of barley contain the same spectrum of beneficial substances, but
in different concentrations. Due to its high fibre content, barley powder,
compared to young barley juice powder, is a less concentrated
source of these substances. The fibre not only „dilutes“ the powder but also
contributes to its poorer solubility and lighter colour.
The difference between the two forms arises from different processing
of the shoots. The juice variant captures only the most
valuable liquid part of the plant – i.e., the fraction with the
highest content of active enzymes, chlorophyll, vitamins, and other
heat-sensitive phytonutrients. As a result, the resulting powder is
significantly more concentrated and naturally has a finer character and
better solubility. The „whole plant young barley powder“ variant on the other hand,
also retains the natural fibre and complete plant structure of the
shoot, which will be appreciated by those who prefer a fuller,
„whole“ plant form.
HISTORY
The Secret Weapon of Gladiators
Green barley is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Preserved writings show
that although it originated in Asia, it also became very popular in the
territory of present-day Europe. In ancient Rome, it was even one of the
most important supplements given to gladiators to improve their
performance. [1,2]
CULTIVATION AND PRODUCTION
After just twenty days
Barley (Hordeum vulgare) – a very fast-growing plant whose shoots are
harvested just twenty days after planting the seeds. This is when they have
absorbed the maximum amount of nutrients needed for the growth and life
of the entire plant.
Dark Green Juice
In the first phase of production, freshly harvested barley shoots are blended
with a measured amount of water. Soluble substances pass into the aqueous phase.
Conversely, fibre and other insoluble components are gradually removed from the
medium. The dark green juice thus created is then dried into the final
powder form.
The temperature of the entire production process is regulated so that it
does not exceed 41 °C. The content of active enzymes and
other nutrients is thus maximally protected.
COMPOSITION
Nutrient-rich powder
Thanks to the early harvest time and gentle processing method, young barley
juice powder is a rich source of vital enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and
other highly beneficial substances in their pure natural
form. [1,2]
Moreover, it is naturally gluten-free – making it
suitable for people with gluten intolerance and coeliac disease.
Health claims from the so-called ON HOLD list
Green barley:
- Antioxidant
- General tonic of vitamins and mineral supplements from a
natural source
ON HOLD list – This is a list of substances and their health claims that
have been submitted to EFSA for assessment, but EFSA has not yet issued a
scientific opinion or the EC has not yet made a decision. Please note that these

USAGE
In water, plant-based milk, and other cold beverages
Our young barley juice powder has a deep green colour and a characteristic,
herbaceous taste. You can dissolve it in water, plant-based milk, or another
favourite beverage. To preserve active enzymes, do not mix it with hot
drinks.
To maintain maximum nutritional value, we recommend mixing the powder
with a wooden or porcelain spoon, not a metal spoon, as this can cause
oxidation.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
Mix 2 level teaspoons (5g) of powder daily in a glass of water or another
cold beverage. The recommended daily dose of young barley juice powder
is 5g.
For better utilisation of the contained substances, consume barley on
an empty stomach – half an hour before or two hours after a
meal.
RECOMMENDED STORAGE
A natural property of young barley powder is that it very easily
absorbs moisture. Therefore, keep it in its original packaging
throughout storage, and always close it thoroughly after removing the powder.
A moisture absorber is also included in the packaging.
