Does your skin need detox, reinforcement and protection from harmful
substances, and do you enjoy making your own cosmetics?
Add unique zeolite, a finely ground mineral composed of
hydrated aluminium silicates, to your favourite raw materials. Thanks to its
high adsorption capacity, it rids the skin of toxins,
impurities, and free radicals. Zeolite adsorbs
(binds to its surface) moisture, impurities, and toxins from the
skin's surface, which can help cleanse pores.
It is excellent for homemade natural products for skin
cleansing, creams, and facial
masks. It is also suitable for sunscreen lotions.
You can add it to cosmetics for problematic skin, as it
tackles clogged pores and blackheads. It acts as an antioxidant, facilitates
skin detoxification, improves its structure, and supports
regeneration. It restores balance to the skin
and balances pH.
Benefits
- Raw material of natural origin, without synthetic
additives
- Helps remove toxins and impurities from
the skin
- Improves skin appearance and structure
- Helps reduce bacteria and odours
- Has antioxidant effects
- Aids regeneration and soothes irritated skin.
How zeolite is made
Zeolite is a microporous aluminosilicate mineral of volcanic
origin. It is extracted from natural deposits and then mechanically ground into
particles of 50 µm. This process ensures a uniform particle size, which is
ideal for use in cosmetics.
Our zeolite is a thermally activated, modified natural raw
material. Thermal (or heat) activation means that the raw material has undergone
controlled drying and heating, during which bound moisture evaporates from the
zeolite grains and pores. This releases its internal structure and increases its
sorption or dehydration capacity.
Zeolites were discovered in ancient times and were used in
various civilisations for their ability to bind harmful substances. In modern
cosmetics, they have gained popularity due to their ability to detoxify and
cleanse the skin without the use of chemical additives.
The name is derived from the ancient Greek words zein (to boil, to seethe)
and lithos (stone). When heated, water bubbles are released from the
micro-cavities of the zeolite, and the stone appears to boil.
