AMAZONITE

Amazonite is a feldspar, by the word nutrients it provides to the soil by its weathering. This green stone with a blue tinge was revered as a holy stone and worn as a talisman not only in early cultures on the American continent, but also as jewellery in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia.

Amazonite, with its rich, watery hues, is named after the Amazon River.

In the Czech Republic, Amazonite is located in Teruvky near Trebic. The largest deposits abroad are the USA, Russia, India, Ukraine, Norway, Brazil

HISTORY
