We make it with love from high-quality organic cacao beans, which have undergone gentle processing to preserve the maximum amount of beneficial substances.

Cacao ceremonies originated in the 1990s in connection with the New Age movement and loosely follow the traditions of Central American civilisations, such as the Mayans and Aztecs. For them, cacao was a sacred raw material and even served as currency.

What is the difference between chocolate and 100% cacao mass

Cacao mass consists exclusively of ground cacao beans. It can be used pure, just like ceremonial cacao, or serve as a raw material for further processing, for example into chocolate. Unlike pure mass, chocolate is made by tempering and supplemented with sugar, or other added ingredients.

How to prepare ceremonial cacao

Ceremonial cacao is traditionally prepared as a hot drink. Simply cut the cacao mass into smaller pieces with a ceramic knife and pour the desired amount of water, plant-based milk or herbal or spice decoction over it.

Your chosen liquid should be at a temperature of 70 to 80 °C to preserve as many beneficial substances as possible. Use a whisk, matcha whisk or immersion blender to dissolve and create a rich foam. Cacao is traditionally prepared with intention, in a space cleansed with incense and in the presence of the element of fire or music.
