Would you like to taste cocoa with a unique, delicately spicy taste?
Try the Spirit Ceremonial Cocoa. We have sweetened the 100%
cocoa for you with dried cane juice and
seasoned with carefully selected spices. You
get the perfect cocktail of minerals, vitamins, fibre and antioxidants, but also
a drink with an original, sweet and spicy taste.
Indulge in the cocoa ritual, live every moment here and now
and facilitate a conscious approach to life. Each sip will bring you the release
to be able to open your heart, dissolve fears and anxieties and
achieve harmony.
Thanks to the unique ratio of theobromine and
caffeine, the cocoa drink will gently stimulate
you, while the effect will be more gradual and lasting than, for
example, coffee. At the same time, it will improve your mood,
help wash away stress and tension, sharpen your mind and awaken
your creative side.
In traditional Central American cultures, cacao is used for fatigue, to
facilitate recovery, overall strengthening and support
childbirth, or breastfeeding. Traditionally,
it contributes to normal digestion, improves
immunity, alleviates the symptoms of aging,
and acts as an aphrodisiac.
Our Ceremonial Cocoa comes from carefully harvested cocoa beans from
organic farming and is very gently processed
at temperatures up to 42°C, thus respecting the principles of raw diet. The
prized Criollo variety is also represented in the selection of
varieties. We produce it in small batches right here
at BEWIT.

Cocoa – the precious food of the gods
The true cacao tree (Theobroma cacao) is a tree
native to tropical parts of South America. Today it is widespread throughout the
tropical belt, widely cultivated in Africa (Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon and
others). Its name means „food of the gods“. The fruits are pods about 30 cm
long that contain seeds called cocoa beans inside. And it is from them that
cocoa is produced, a raw ingredient popular all over the world.
What is ceremonial cocoa?
Ceremonial cocoa is designed for meditation ceremonies and
rituals, whether by this ritual you mean a morning moment to yourself
with a cup of the delicious drink, or special cocoa circles. We make it with
love from quality cocoa beans in organic quality, which have
undergone gentle processing to preserve the maximum of
beneficial substances in them.
Cocoa ceremonies originated in the 1990s in the context of
the New Age movement. They loosely follow the traditions of Central American
civilizations such as the Maya and Aztecs. For them, cacao was a sacred and
ritualistic ingredient. It was expensive, therefore it was only accessible to
selected high-ranking men and it was also used as currency.
What is the difference between chocolate and 100% cocoa mass?
The cocoa mass consists exclusively ground cocoa beans. It
can be used pure, e.g. as ceremonial cocoa, or used as raw material for further
processing, e.g. for chocolate. Chocolate is then made from
cocoa mass, which is tempered and supplemented with sugar or other added
ingredients.
Method of use
Ceremonial cocoa is traditionally prepared as a hot drink. Cut the cocoa with
a ceramic knife into smaller pieces and pour the desired amount
of water, vegetable milk, or herbal or spice decoction.
The liquid you pour over the cocoa should be at a temperature of
70 to 80°C to preserve as much of the beneficial substances as
possible. To dissolve and simultaneously create a rich foam, use a whisk (if you
have one, the traditional Mexican molinillo), a matcha whisk, or an immersion
blender.
Cocoa is traditionally prepared with intention, in a space cleansed with
heating agents (palo santo, white sage, copal, etc.), in the presence of the
element of fire and music.
Dosage
For 200 ml of drink you will need:
- For beginners, children and drink of more delicate taste: 15–20 g
- For cocoa full of flavour: 20–34 g
- Ceremonial dose: 34–44 g
- Generally recommended maximum daily dose: 50 g
Follow the recommended maximum daily dose because you can overdose on
cocoa. Overdose is manifested by headache, very strong palpitations and
trembling of the hands. Always follow a drinking regime when drinking
cocoa, as it is a diuretic.

Recommended storage
Store in a dry and dark place. Ideally at a temperature between 14–18 °C,
up to a maximum of 24 °C, protect against temperature fluctuations. Once
opened, store in a tightly sealed container – food moths love cocoa.
Warning
This product does not have a powdery consistency, it is a solid
mass, which must be chopped or grated before use. This is not tempered
chocolate. Fat and sugar blooms are natural, they are not a defect.
Due to the theobromine and caffeine content in combination, the effects of
which can last up to 7 hours, we recommend drinking cocoa rather in the
morning.
People with low blood pressure, pregnant and lactating women and young
children should indulge in cocoa with caution, or consult a
