In the scorching savannas of sub-Saharan Africa, the shea trees, also known as African butter trees, grow. Cold-pressing their seeds produces valuable shea butter, which has been considered an important raw material for skin care, cooking and traditional medicine in its natural environment for centuries.

In countries such as Burkina Faso, Mali, and Ghana, this ingredient holds significant economic and social importance. The collection and processing of the fruits are primarily carried out by women, giving them the opportunity for economic independence. An important aspect is also the effort to preserve sustainable and traditional production methods.

BEWIT Organic Shea Body Butter Ylang Vitality contains 85% of this precious ingredient. In organic quality, finely processed and whipped, with the addition of other nourishing oils, it has a pleasantly creamy consistency that remains soft and provides maximum nourishment to the skin.

Sunflower oil from Slovakia

This shea butter is enriched with high-quality sunflower oil, which boasts a high monounsaturated fat content (MUFA). These fats contribute to skin hydration and have antioxidant properties.

The oil is extracted from sunflowers grown in the beautiful Slovak fields and contains up to 82% healthy MUFA, while the proportion of less suitable polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) is minimal. This balance ensures a higher resistance to rancidity. Compared to conventional sunflower oil, which can have up to 74% PUFA, this oil provides more stability at higher temperatures, extending its shelf life and effectiveness.
