HISTORY

Amaranth, also called the golden grain of the Gods, has been known and used by man for thousands of years. It was of great importance in the diet of the Aztecs, Mayans and Incas,who called it the miracle grain. To benefit from its nutritional value, it is added to many traditional dishes today.

In porridges, soups, sauces, vegetable salads

Amaranth seeds have a creamy colour and a mild, neutral taste that does not overpower other ingredients. With these you can thicken porridge, soups and sauces. Freshly roasted they are excellent in vegetable salads. Flour from ground amaranth can also be used in the preparation of cakes, biscuits or pastries.
