Unique Persian Rose
The Persian rose is a natural hybrid that originated about
7,000 years ago on the borders of modern-day Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and
Turkmenistan, from where it spread throughout the Persian Empire. Here, the
famous and enduring tradition of rose oil production soon developed, playing an
important role from the outset in medicine, perfumery, and rituals.
Essential oil from Iranian roses is considered the most
intense and most complex variant of rose oil. It
differs from Bulgarian or Turkish rose oil in its deeper, richer, and fruitier
scent with subtle spicy undertones. The unmistakable scent, for which it is
highly valued in perfumery and aromatherapy, is due to the unique combination of
the Iranian climate and soil in the Kashan region.
Double Distilled Rose
This essential oil is produced by steam distillation of rose
flowers. The designation „double distilled“ means that two
distillation cycles have taken place. The first distillate undergoes
another distillation cycle to remove heavier components and, conversely, enhance
lighter and more aromatic notes.
The result is a finer and lighter essential oil, more popular for perfume
production. It has a lighter colour and a less viscous consistency.
In contrast, the scent of once-distilled essential oil is more intense and
finds greater application in aromatherapy.
The Rarest Essence
Rose essential oils are very rare because an enormous amount
of raw material is consumed to obtain them: approximately 3–4 tonnes of rose
petals are needed for 1 kg of rose oil. Therefore, they are among the
most expensive in the world.
For this reason, we offer a more affordable variant of rose
essential oil in MCT oil. While the undiluted version is a 100%
essential oil that you must first dilute in a carrier oil for skin application,
this variant is already diluted and ready for direct use on the skin. However,
it is not suitable for a diffuser.
For these purposes, the undiluted essential oil BEWIT
Double Distilled Damask Rose is suitable.
Use
Apply in circular motions to the neck, temples, nape of the neck, or soles of
the feet, or inhale from the palms of your hands.
Caution During Pregnancy
Although rose is considered a maternal oil, use it with caution during
pregnancy, especially when applying to the skin.
