Niaouli or tea tree
Both essential oils are extracted from the Melaleuca tree and
although their effects are similar, there are differences in the scents. While
the scent of niaouli essential oil (Melaleuca quinquenervia) is
milder and has sweeter notes, tea tree
essential oil (// Melaleuca alternifolia//) has a strong
medicinal scent.
Niaouli essential oil, a milder version of tea tree, is also suitable for
very sensitive skin.
